GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Brighter Stronger Foundation is committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled School-Based Mental Health Therapist to join our team and provide essential mental health support to students.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group therapy to students addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with school staff and families.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies.
  • Work closely with teachers, counselors, and administrators to create a trauma-informed and inclusive school environment.
  • Provide training and resources to school staff on mental health topics.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records following legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with community mental health agencies to coordinate services for students and families.

 

 

Requirements

What we need from you:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
  • State licensure as an LGPC, LMSW, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent .
  • Experience working with children/adolescents in a school or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.

Salary Description
$70,000 - $85,000 plus $5,000 sign on bonus
